About Rides in Sight™

Rides in Sight (RIS) is an information and referral service that helps older and visually impaired adults find local transportation options to help them stay mobile as they age. RIS is proud to be a program of ITNAmerica, the first and only national nonprofit transportation network.

Quick Facts about Rides in Sight:

  • RIS has helped more than 130,000 people find local ride options
  • The RIS database is available to universities, nonprofits, and industry for transportation research
  • RIS is now available through an API to other organizations
  • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention list RIS as the best resource for transportation information in the ‘MyMobility’ toolkit for older adults

Do you work with people in need of transportation? Adding the Rides in Sight API to your website is an easy way to provide seamless transportation information to improve your clients, residents, or patients’ user experience.

Whether you’re an older adult in need of a ride, a healthcare professional trying to help a patient, or a social researcher studying older adult mobility, RIS can help.
